Through
the Door and Living the Life

The Midst Of Chaos)
(Basic
Law No.4: Love Yourself Right Where You Are)
These days most people want the "quick fix". Everything has to be right
now - yesterday if at all possible. There doesn't seem to be as much time
as before. I can look back over the past 3 to 4 decades and see that there
is now more insecurity, more fear, more threatening situations, fewer
guarantees, less peace. Because there are fewer guarantees people don't
feel the need to trust or to wait months or years for their ship to come
home. Which is why so many people, both young and older, seem to have so
little patience. Paul spoke of this time in his second letter to his protegee
Timothy: " . . . in the last days there will set in perilous times
of great stress and trouble - hard to deal with and hard to bear. People
will be lovers of self, self - centered, lovers of money, proud, arrogant
. . . profane, callous . . ." (1). Of course there have always been
such people but suddenly, during the past few decades, approximately since
the 'sixties, the world changed and generations from then on absorbed a
more frantic, self - centered outlook. "Instant Everything" became the
rule and with it a personal trust in a Creator God went out the window.
Trusting only in one's own desires and opinions has become the norm. H.G.Wells'
prediction that "men will be as gods" has begun to manifest as the
belief "to each his own" and "whatever a person wants to believe in is
his/her business". That is now the accepted norm but this new wave of so
- called freedom or liberalism has merely resulted in a more chaotic world
system of anarchy, terrorism, hedonism and immorality. This is the
world you find yourself in today.
Whereas up until the 'sixties a person could find some place of solitude
- a desert island, a mountain retreat - and shut the world outside
, that luxury is no longer available. Modern communicative technology
has seen to it that even if you are hundreds of miles from civilization,
in a jungle or on the high seas or somewhere in the Arctic or Antarctic
wastelands you can be reached. This is not a benefit. Man is no longer
alone yet he has never been lonelier. He has developed to the 'nth degree
the ability to contact everyone else yet he is completely unable to contact
his own true self. He has, with open arms, welcomed his egotistical self
like a long - lost prodigal but has shut his hungry heart up in the basement
of his life where he cannot hear its pleas for honesty and truth. The words
of Henry David Thoreau, written in 1854, "The mass of men lead lives of
quiet desperation" are surely, to my mind, more true of this generation
than of any previous generation - which is why more and more people are
turning to either the gods of other cultures or to totally hedonistic or
immoral life-styles.
So how do you, my new - born friend, live truly in this Fallen World surrounded
by so many quietly desperate people and so many challenging situations?
Behold, I reveal to you the Secret of the Ages, the light in the darkness
of human idiocy:
"Love
Yourself Right Where You Are".
God says through Paul of Tarsus, " the natural, non - spiritual man
does not accept or welcome the teachings and revelations of the Spirit
of God for they are nonsense to him, and he is incapable of knowing them
. . . because they are spiritually discerned." (2)
You, in order to take victory over all of the situations which will present
their appearance or evidence of disaster to you, must move onto and stay
on that spiritual plane on which you know who and what you are in God's
mind. If you attempt to combat the situation through human logic you will
be beaten by it because you will accept what the situation presents
to your senses and to your mind as so - called "fact". Once you do that
you will be unable to combat it. However, if you move on the God - plane
of His Word, and present what God says about the particular situation,
you will experience, in one form or another, total victory.
You must not move in fear or with strenuous effort, both of which will
prove that you are still moving "in the natural" against what is occurring
in the natural. You must, by seeing who and what you are spiritually,
be at peace within as you act, to the extent that you realize with enough
conviction that you, in your spiritual living, must live primarily from
a spiritual viewpoint, guided by God's Holy Spirit, and cannot be
defeated by anything which exists primarily on a natural plane. Everything
on that plane is in a state of flux, or change, whereas everything on the
spiritual plane is changeless. What is changeless cannot be affected, whereas
what is changeable CAN be affected. Of course, I must affirm that
Satan and his demonic followers are not of the natural plane - they are
eternal spirits. However, they can only operate in this natural world primarily
through human beings or other living organisms etc. They are restricted
to operating on the natural plane of existence and can only use the effects
of what we see and experience as their weapons. Which is why God's Word
exhorts us to, ". . . walk by faith, not by sight or appearance" (3)*.
Therefore, the Great Secret of Continual Victory is to see your new-born
nature, with all of its purity and power, as God sees it, and to begin
to love your True Self thus, and, as you see this and put it into practice,
you will begin to truly love yourself right where you are and realize that
it isn't primarily the changing of a situation which brings you happiness
but the understanding of who and what you are which does so. The changing
of the situation is the effect within God's plan for you at that particular
time, to give Him glory and to affect you for different reasons in His
perfect will. The realization of your real godly nature is what enables
you to love yourself right where you are, regardless of what is going on
around or within your natural life within the Fallen World System called
"daily life".
From this chapter on I will show you the Gold Bricks I picked up on my
own journey. They are your Gold Bricks too. Fasten your seat belt. We are
about to ride on God's Rollercoaster.

(3)*There
is so much Christians need to learn re. demonic possession, oppression,
how to deal with it, etc., it would take another section (which is un-contextual
at this part of the site). Perhaps I will develop it further on. However,
in my experience, I also am aware that such in-depth information really
needs a more personal "on the site" approach to be fully appreciated and
appropriated.
