Through the Door and Living the Life

THE LAND OF ALWAYS AND FOREVER
(I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more. . .
We must be over the Rainbow)

INTRODUCTION

Fairy tales speak to our most basic and most fervent desire to somehow break through to a place or experience in which we will be able to live "happily ever after". In the movie, "The Wizard of Oz", when the tornado lifted Dorothy and Toto into the air, it moved them through a kind of time and space warp into the Land of Oz. Similarly, C.S. Lewis, in, " The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe", (the second book of Narnia), has the children go through a magic door in the wardrobe into the land of Narnia. This idea has been very successfully used by many authors to depict the possibility of a parallel universe and the ability to actually go there.
When God first called Creation into being, He placed a door in each human heart. That door is, as doors should be, both an entrance and an exit. Through it, we may enter into the Land of Always and Forever, and through it, whilst we still live on this planet called Earth, we may also exit from that glorious land, back to the Fallen World.  Most people do not realize that there actually is a door within each of our lives, and that where we are at this moment, in this Fallen World, we live as temporary visitors, "strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth", (1). They also do not realize that whilst we live on this earth we need to apply for the visa which enables us to travel back and forth through that door between the Two Worlds before we go through it once and for all by the process known as  "dying" (2).
The Land of Always and Forever has always existed in God's eternal heart and mind but made its appearance in the context of Time and Space when God called Creation into being and, "all the angels shouted for joy" (3) and He "...was happy with what He created: His wide world and all His family of mankind" (4).  God created a world and a system which, being from out of His very heart, was wonderful and promised a future of "Happily Ever After".
If you read, believed in and accepted the message in "EPILOGUE", you, my friend, have stepped through the Door and now you are a "citizen of Heaven" (5).  Your passport has been stamped and you have been issued your "Green card" to enable you to appropriate all of the benefits your new status entitles you to whilst you live out your alloted time on this Earth. You are now all set to venture forth into your True Land, to learn of its ways and laws and customs, and you will be able to bring all of its technicolored influence and power back, through the door in your heart, into this Fallen, Black and White World, to transform your still-to-be-fully-lived life here and to demonstrate to those whose hearts and minds are open that the real, heavenly "Land of Oz" actually does exist.
From this point on you will learn of what your new True Life is all about, of the laws by which it is governed and  how to apply those laws. You will also learn that your Land of Oz, just like the land Dorothy found herself in, is occupied by all sorts of weird and wonderful things and people and places, not all of which are, by any stretch of the imagination, friendly. As a matter of fact, some of its inhabitants are, like the Wicked Witches of the East and West, downright nasty. More of that later.
Meantime: Welcome to the Real Life. Welcome to the Two Worlds. Get ready for the most amazing, mind-blowing trip you could ever hope to experience, all laid on especially for you by the King Himself, Jesus, the Creator and Upholder of all of Creation; He Who holds everything and everybody in existence by the staggering power of His limitless love, from the most minute speck of dust on Earth to the farthest planet in the farthest galaxy (6). The entire Star Trek team could certainly learn a few things from Him. Kirk, Spock: eat your hearts out.
