Through the Door and Living the Life

Here I Am, Lord
(Basic Law No.7: It Is No Accident That You Are Where You Are. If You Don't Get Free Where You Are, What Makes You Think You'll Get Free Elsewhere?)

You cannot run away from yourself and you cannot run away from God. King David realized that. He wrote: " You know everything about me. You know my every thought . . . I can never get away from my God " (1). and we soon realize that no matter what we do or where we go we carry our fears and worries with us. That's the human condition. However, although you still have a human body and mind, as God's born - again child you are now primarily spiritual, so you are able to approach each and every human situation from a spiritual perspective and that means applying the unchangeable and unchanging Word of God to whatever may arise.
Now you are ready to hear about one of God's greatest Gold Bricks. It is hidden in His Word in the 2nd Letter to the people of Corinth (the Corinthians) in Chapter 4, verses 17 and 18. It reads like this:
"For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we look not at nor consider the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen , which are visible, are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things which are not seen , which are invisible, are eternal, deathless and everlasting." (2)
With that scripture God is handing us the secret of total, incontestable victory over every situation which could possible confront us during our short time on this Earth. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING can possibly stand against the God - power revealed in those words from the mouth of God. That scripture is the cornerstone of the house of victory which is your life.
Remember this: When Jesus was feeling really bad in the desert, having fasted for forty days, and old Hook Satan tempted him to ease his human distress with a human solution (read all about it in the Gospel of Matthew, Cpt.4,vv.1 - 4) he quoted God's Word to the Tempter : "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (3). Paul wrote to Timothy: "Every scripture is God-breathed - profitable for instruction, reproof, conviction, correction, discipline, training . . .so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."(4).
What are the "things which are seen"?  To choose but a few: Disease, poverty, violence, a bank balance in the red, a marriage on the rocks ("seen" can be interpreted as "experienced" too), loss of work, threat of war . . . The list is endless.
What are the "things which are not seen"?  The promises God has had written into the Bible - solutions and guarantees for every terrible situation which could possibly arise in this life, beginning with, of course, the most important solution to the most horrific situation in the history of mankind: the sending of His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die in our place and so break the legitimate hold which Satan had over the human race through the disobedience of our original human father Adam and by so doing, making it possible for each of us to be born again into God's glorious kingdom.
For now, I am placing before you your "Open Sesame" to all of the blessings God has been holding for you for this time. I am revealing what God has said you can and should do to come against whatever rotten condition or situation you face in your life at this time. It is indeed, no accident that you are where you are. God's plan for your life has dictated that you be in this very situation at this actual moment so that you trust in Him, listen to His word and use it to overcome the situation , to bring it into line with how it should be in God's perfect will and to give Him the glory in doing so. All that has happened to you, every so-called "accident of fate" from the moment you were conceived in your mother's womb, no matter how good or how horrific it may seem, has been ordained and allowed by God to bring you to this moment so that you could hear God speak to you and hear how He is revealing to you His Way of Truth, His Way to Real Peace and Happiness, His Way which is so completely beyond and so totally alien to man's foolish, so-called "Logic" and "Reasoning".
You don't need to move to a sunnier climate, or to a more respectable neighborhood. You don't need to change your job or your hairstyle or send you kids to a different school. You don't need to win the lottery or borrow from your brother-in-law.
God is meeting you right where you are first, IN your situation, IN your dilemma, IN your anguish, IN your despair, and He is saying to you, His born - again child: "Do not look at what you see but look at what I say in My Word".
Take whatever Word God has already revealed which pertains to your situation and apply it to that situation with total trust that God 's Word:  "shall go forth out of My mouth . It shall not return to me void but it shall accomplish that which I please and prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (5).
You declare your True Freedom in any situation by applying God's Word to that situation. You don't hope for a better situation. You don't wish the situation would go away. You don't wish you could turn the clock back so you could evade the situation. You don't lose your peace. You immediately remind yourself that: "Amidst all these things we are more than conquerors" (6), and prepare to apply the everlasting power of God's Word to the situation.  You are king in your world, because you are a son of the King of kings. (7). Now you will reign as a king.(8).

Personal Affirmation
"Here I am, Lord. My time has come".
(The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to be king over all but those who receive God's grace and the free gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through Jesus Christ."(9)
